Last night I went to the dentist. They said 'We're sorry your tooth still hurts, but we don't see anything wrong with it. It might be cracked with a fracture so thin that we can't detect it.' And then the technician told me about her husband, who had a cracked tooth that just ... split in half one day and he wanted to know why nobody noticed that it had been cracked. Which filled me with confidence. Or ... what's that thing that's not confidence? Dismay. Yeah, that's it.
Then I hit Walgreens to get a scrip, and then home. Where we watched last week's Doctor Who and the brand new Eureka. Then I futzed with computers for awhile and got Laura's modem to work *and* got wireless working in the house. So now Laura can sit in the living room with the 50 foot network cable, *or* she can connect via wireless, *or* she can use her cell phone modem. So, I win. To celebrate, I played Hellgate: London for 45 minutes. Until three spark slayers jumped me at once and cooked my poor computer's brain. And then I knew it was bedtime.
Tonight is D&D. We ought to be wrapping up the current adventure and discussing what we're going to do next. Tomorrow is ... unclear. I have things to drop off at Matt and Kymm's, Speed Racer has another week in the theater so I don't *have* to go see it (but it's only playing matinee shows next week, so maybe I do), and there's fighter's practice.
I did the stairs again today. Dirk and I started with Victoria and Judy, who have been doing the stairs for months now and take them two at a time. And don't touch the handrails. And are both in much better shape than either me or Dirk. (Dirk's in better shape than me, in that he doesn't have a gut ... but his legs hurt more than mine.) Anyway, V&J left us behind. But we still finished in ten minutes. I should figure out if that's good or not.
And now, on to work.
