Last night we grabbed dinner at GPs on the way home (I really like their chicken caeser salad, in case anybody wondered what we *eat* there), then ate in front of the tv. Rearranged the living room, and prepared for our guests.
We began our gaming session by working on characters - levelling up and creating a new one. I sat with Shannon for a little while, working on Granny Mabel the Monk, and with Kat to discuss Anasha's advancement. Jim got a quick debrief, and Daisy had a chat with her deity. Jillian met with the heads of her guild, and Jebidoh chose to work on his advancement outside of game time.
After everyone left for the night, we cleaned up and went to bed.
Tonight is Curia in Brookfield. A friend just told me about a new restaurant called Agave up there, which sounds ... intruiging. Tomorrow and Thursday, nothing's brewing. That I know of. Yet. I haven't moved anything to the basement since Friday's flurry of activity because almost all of what I needed to get done on that front is done, and the porch is at least tidy, but that doesn't really mean that I'm *done* with the process. So I should finish at some point.
The party gathered for dinner at the Temple of Wee Jas, their local base of operations in Soulgrave. They were approached by Steve and other priests I haven't named yet, who thanked them again for their efforts in ridding the sewers of the filth of the Rat King and his ring of slavers. They reunited the party with their fallen comrade, Jim the Dwarf, now resurrected and back to his normal, ale-swilling, axe-wielding self. The priests then invited the party to visit the town of Hommlett, there to find a temple which had been desecrated by evil, and to either cleanse the place of evil or destroy it. The party agreed to undertake this journey, and were also asked to escort old Granny Mabel to a monastary in the city. The priests also sent one of their number, Alain, as a guide.
They went shopping, and then began their journey. In the first three and a half miles they were set upon twice by bandits, one of whom (in each party) carried a suspiscious looking gem. Each of the party members acquitted themselves well, including Granny Mabel (who seems to have taken a fondness to Daisy and given her cookies). And we knocked off around 11 PM, to meet again in about a month.
