Last night we went home, had dinner, and gamed.
Tonight, tomorrow night, and Friday night we have no plans - so, probably Stargate. I am hatching an evil plot which is so evil in its evilness that it will probably fall flat on its face. I should know by Sunday.
The group listened at one of the doors in the room and heard faint noises which resembled those made by a person in pain or anguish. ("The man in black, he makes that sound now.") They investigated, discovering a large-ish cell filled with prisoners. The captives weren't much use and only wanted to get out of the dungeon, and after some in-party discussion of the topic our heroes released the incarcerated folks and led them to the surface. (I should mention that Wonilon began to recognize his surroundings and was able to retrace his steps to find this exit.)
The party explored further and found a dark hallway which their light couldn't penetrate. As they prepared to search it, crossbow bolts screamed out and hit Anasha the Sorceress and Spugnoir the Mage. Some creative defensive manuevering and rogue-like agility resulted in the party dispelling the darkness and revealing a huge quad-crossbow tucked into an alcove and staffed by a single hobgoblin. Dispatching the problem was faster than the resulting discussion. The group almost immediately discovered a curtain connecting the alcove with a room full of guards, and the magic users filled the guardroom with flaming death.
We'll play again next Monday night.
